A unique capacitive sensor element is used for measuring relative humidity while temperature is measured by a band-gap sensor. Captive MEMS barometric pressure sensor guarantee high accuracy of measurement on air pressure. In order to keep the effects of external influences (e.g. solar radiation) as low as possible, these sensors are located in a naturally ventilated housing with radiation protection. In contrast to conventional non-ventilated sensors, this allows significantly more accurate measurement during high radiation conditions.

By measuring the time difference, the airflow velocity is obtained.
